Birthday party re-cap

Phew! We had a busy weekend! We’re back home now but not before attending a wedding shower for my future sister-in-law, and Sunday was Sister Girl’s big 1st birthday party. Both parties were excellent. It was wonderful to catch-up with all those we love. We had Ju Ju’s birthday party at the lake in my parent’s town. We rented a pavilion and everyone had a chance to cool off in the Sprayground. We planned a loose theme around rainbows and butterflies since that seemed to be the bright and sunny kind of feel we were going for to represent our Sister Girl. I ordered a couple party pizzas, and made a pasta salad. My mom made a green salad with grilled chicken, this amazing fruit arrangement…

…as well as these gorgeous cupcakes (they were featured at the shower and we brought the leftovers to the party on Sunday).

The cake! Thank you Nonna and Poppa and Wegman’s bakery!

I made this Pinterest-inspired fruit tray with whipped topping cloud dip.

These are the cousins from my side of the family. I love a good cousin pic, aren’t they cute?! This brood is about to increase by three (two due in the beginning of July and one due in October).

My tired little birthday girl! She had a great day, and especially enjoyed all the attention and love from everyone who came. Here’s to a great year ahead! Happy birthday Sister Girl!!!
