We made it up to the solariums at our local botanical garden last weekend. The orange and lemon trees were a reminder of warmer days to come. I really love plants and am somewhat of a botany nerd. I think many people with small children shy away from taking very young children to places like a botanical garden. It’s true that the place is frequently filled with a much older crowd and that my little ones are usually the youngest ones there. But no one seems to mind and we really do enjoy going. I hope in doing so we are instilling a love of nature and a desire to learn more about the plants in our world.
